Miss You Snowflake

I  made a card with the beautiful Big Bliss Snowflake and Script Miss You dies from Simon Says Stamp...
I think this snowflake die is sooooooo pretty!!! I die cut and layered three times and added a layered heart in the middle, as it IS a miss you card!  I stamped the background with the Simon Diagonal Stripes stamp and some khaki ink on kraft cardstock.  The background of the snowflake has snow, stamped with another Simon background stamp, then clear embossed.  Here's a close up...
I actually saw a couple snowflakes fall in my yard this morning...but coming from Buffalo, New York, I'd sometimes like more than just a couple flakes.  I love them however  I can see them...on a card will make me happy for now:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Christmas Thank You

I hope your Christmas, if you celebrated the day, was filled with happiness.  I made a couple cards the day before family arrived for Christmas, and my craft room became occupado.  The one I'm sharing with you today would be perfect as a Christmas thank you...
I used the Simon Says Stamp Cora Background stamp on vellum...stamped with versamark and gold embossed.  I used the Simon Nested Hearts dies and die cut a heart from the stamped background.  I colored the back of the heart with sharpie and mark it markers...red and green for Christmas.  I then layered the heart with pieces of cardstock and chipboard.  I stamped a couple sentiments from the Simon Floral Bouquet stamp set, also with Versamark and gold embossed.  Here's a close up...
With Valentines day coming, this heart would also be wonderful with other sentiments, too:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Rustic Joy with a Wreath

Kind of a rustic, simple Christmas card made with more of my leftovers!!  I had the wreath sitting in one of my many bags of leftover die cuts and added the layered "J" and "Y"...
*****Okay...I just could not like this card as it was(the second photo)...so I edited it a bit*****
...see if you can tell how...

...I think chopping a little off the top makes a BIG difference...with too much card, the "JOY" is a bit lost...what do you think??
I added a  bottom of stamped stripes and some twine from the Target dollar section...

Less than one week from Christmas, this will be my last Christmas card...hope you have all yours made and mailed!!  It's been such fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Koala Love

I made a Valentine's Day card with a little fellow from "down under"...
Simon Says Stamp's newest release, Friends, is amazing!!  The stamps, and dies in this release are simply wonderful...endless possibilities to create some amazing cards!!  I am going to be having a lot of fun creating with the stamps and dies from this release...I hope you'll have a moment check it out, there is so much fun just waiting to happen!!

I used the new Picture Book Koala die and the new Handwritten Love stamp set to make a Valentine's card!  I die cut and layered the koala and adhered all his pieces to a Koala that I had just embossed and then cut out.  I used the older Holiday Shapes heart die to make a heart banner for the little guy to hang onto...
...oh this little guy is sooooo adorable...
...will have more with this little guy...such fun!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Happy Birthday with Love, Arrows

I made a birthday card with arrows...
Ok...this is kind of crazy.  My son-in-law wanted a card with arrows for his sister for her birthday.  I went on a search to find arrow dies, I think they're cool, but I didn't have any sets of arrows.  I found some really cool arrow dies that I really liked (just what I had in my mind) on ebay that were about $2-3 for four arrow dies (REALLY??), three of which are in the card above...and with FREE SHIPPING, TOO, I DO love eBay for lots of things I can't find anywhere else!!  They came from China, but were delivered quickly...and hey, for $3...how could I possibly beat THAT deal??  Well, I came to find out that the dies look exactly like arrow dies by Elizabeth Craft Designs, selling for $14.95...what's with that??  Can anyone tell me??  Well...they are cool dies, and I combined them with a Hero Arts Happy Birthday sentiment, along with a Winnie and Walter "with love" from The Big The Bold and The Happy stamp set.  The heart on the one arrow was added onto the arrow from some red die cut arrows, then cut off, and glossy accented.  Here's a close up...
There are no links for this card, as auctions on ebay are fleeting, and the sentiment is retired.  What a fun card to make, though, wanted you to see it:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Love at Christmas...Gold on Vellum

A little more than one week until Christmas...and what's better than Love at Christmas?! I had stamped the Simon Says Stamp Ornate Background stamp and embossed some vellum a couple months ago, with versa mark and gold embossed.   I colored the largest single flower with red markers from the back of the vellum...just one...
I added a die cut and colored sentiment from the Stained Glass Greetings, colored with red marker like the flower.  Simply done...sometimes less means more...
Ahhh....gold and vellum...LOVE!!!!   Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Kindness x 12

I made some cards for my mom...
My mom had wanted some one layer cards to thank people for their kindness. I thought  the beautiful My Favorite Things Kind Words stamp set was perfect!!!  I used the lovely Kindness sentiment stamp for the center of the card, and one of the sweet additional sentiments from the set for just below it, stamping them with versamark and gold embossing.  I chose the old but wonderfully timeless set of Paper Smooches Reflections stamp set for the flowers.  I made a card almost two years ago with this set and similiar layout...thought it perfect for these cards!!  I stamped the leaves, then the flowers, and dotted them(choosing to make the pink a bit off circular for something different) with colored enamel accents.  Here's a pic of all twelve I made...in one night...really fast when you have them down to a system...
Cards bring me such joy...Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Spiral Flower Birthday

I made a fun birthday card with the new Spiral Flower die from Simon Says Stamp!...
This flower is so artsy and fun...I die cut then layered each flower twice.  The die is a bit intricate, but I took my time and didn't mess up one flower while gluing layers, so although a fine die, pretty easy to work with!!  I also used a sentiment from the Thoughtful Messages stamp set, stamped with Versamark and white embossed. I adhered them to a heavyweight kraft paper.   Here's a close up...
Simple fun...doesn't get much better than this:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Corbel Border Die Fun!

I LOVE the new Simon Says Stamp Corbel Cut Border die!!!  It is SOOOOO pretty, and I've made two cards made with it, same layout, changing out the colors and sentiments...
I used a 3 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel, and die cut both the long ends with the border die, adding one layer underneath for depth.  I added a sentiment that was also layered(three or four deep) and an added sentiment stamp stamped with versa mark and white embossed.  Here's a close up...
The second one, just like the first, but using a different color combo and die cut sentiment...
and a close up...
Oh yeah...loving this one, and having so much fun!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!!                  Hugs!! Lisa

Merry Christmas Elephants and Snowflakes

More leftovers...this time some die cut, colored elephants from W Plus 9 Designs stamps and dies.  I decided to use them to make a couple Christmas cards...Hey...kind of different, elephants on Christmas cards, I know, Elephants would be FAR away from snow and snowflakes...but they are cute... anywhere, anytime:)!!...
Snipped around his trunk and added a snowflake hung on a silver thread and added a bow...
The second one, snowflakes all around, another WPlus9 design die for the sentiment...
...a close up...
...and the "Merry Christmas" on the inside...
Having SO MUCH FUN!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Miss You Penguin

Simon Says Stamp's Diecember® release is one, that by it's very name, has some wonderful dies!!  I chose two of the new dies to make this winter card...
I used the sweet Script Miss You die and the cute Picture Book Hugging Penguin die, along with the Simon Falling Snow Background stamp.  I die cut and layered both the penguin and the sentiment and stamped the snow with versamark and white embossed.  I tore some white textured cardstock for the snow piles.  Here's a close up...
Hope you will check out the new release over at Simon...lots of fun just waiting for you:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Having Fun With Leftovers...Joy!

I made a card with leftover die cuts...
I save my leftover die cuts.  Some projects work, others, not so much, but...call me a hoarder or maybe as I'd like to say, a hopeful hoarder, I save the die cuts I don't use for another day...another project.  THIS is what my craft desk looked like when I opened my 4+ bags of leftover die cuts to sort and decide what to keep or use...AGHHHHH!!!!!....what a mess, but what POTENTIAL!!!...
I chose to use the snowflakes from the discontinued Memory Box die, Snowflake Love Pendant die (on the bottom left in the above picture), cut them off the die cut, layered and used the Pretty Pink Posh Film Strip dies that I had leftover(in the middle), layering them as well.  I combined them with a piece of watercolored paper, that I had THROWN IN THE GARBAGE, my craft garbage can...but remembered it, and thought it would be perfect for THIS project...TOO FUNNY!!!!  I adhered them to a card that I had used the Papertrey Ink Impression Plate and then die cut the Reverse Confetti Joy to finish the card(layered too)!  Here's a close up...
I have ideas for A LOT more of my leftovers...stay tuned!!!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Simon Says Stamp Diecember® Blog Hop and Giveaway!

I am thrilled to be a part of today's Simon Says Stamp Diecember® release Blog Hop!!  You should have come here from Suzy Plantamura's blog!
I LOVE dies!! I love December!!  Simon has made this December full of wonderful dies...making this a LOVED Diecember®:)!!   I chose the fun set of border dies from this new release for my two cards today,  Arched Stitching Borders dies!  What is so cool about these border dies is that they can be used as traditional border dies to make cards like these...

I like that they can also be used in different ways!  The first way I've used them a lttle differently is to use them to make an image... a sun!...
This was made with patterned paper, die cut with the saw tooth edged border die from the set, layered and adhered to a card base with another piece of patterned paper with a sentiment from the Simon Handlettered Encouragement stamp set.  Here's a close up...

OR...you could use the border die to create a frame for a sentiment, which serves as the focal point for the card...
Simply done, I die cut the scalloped die from the set on both sides of a piece of white cardstock, creating a scalloped frame.  I then stamped the sentiment stamp from the Thoughtful Messages stamp set, stamped in black and clear embossed.  I layered the frame for some depth and adhered to the patterned panel of the card.  Here's a close up...
