Floral Sparkle Friends

Simon Says Stamp just came out with a brand new release last week, Cherished!  I made a card last night using one of the pretty new dies, Floral Sparkle...
I die cut the Floral Sparkle die a couple times...once throught the top panel, and then on strip that I adhered underneath the top panel.  I added a bottom piece of cardstock that I had put lots of tombow adhesive, then added die cut pieces of the flowers, leaves and dots in various blue and green paint chips...I matched the blue with one of the Simon inks for the sentiment.  I adhered all those pieces(the card panel and two strips), now adhered together, onto a white card.  Here's a close up...
Pretty and simple...and pretty simple:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Happy Birthday Tulips

I made a birthday card with a pretty flower stamp from the Simon Says Stamp Mom and Dad Icons stamp set...
These flowers are whimsical, but they look like tulips to me, so that's what I'M calling them:)!  I stamped them on a piece of Simon vellum(LOVE THIS VELLUM!), embossed with fine gold embossing powder, and colored the flowers and leaves from behind with markers.  I wrapped the vellum around the sides of a white panel, and popped up a stamped top panel and small bottom panel over the flowers.  Attached the whole thing onto a card.  Here's a close up to show you the pretty gold:)!...
Red tulips...with gold...LOVE!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Happy Dad Day

A Happy Father's Day card...just a little different take on the wording:)!...
I used the new Simon Says Stamp Big Dad die and some recycled silver embossed cardstock from a perfume box(you COULD score some silver cardstock, too:)!!)...I DO love to recycle!!  I cut a slice of the cardstock big enough to fit the die, then die cut each letter of the "DAD" in a different direction on that cardstock.  I thought this die cut "DAD" looked a little industrial, and I liked it:)!...
I used pieces of a sentiment from an older Simon stamp set, Father's Day, embossed in silver onto a brown piece of Doodlebug linen cardstock. I then adhered the die cut onto the cardstock panel.
Simple...but then most dads are...in a good way:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

A Whole Bunch of Love

Simon Says Stamp just came out with a new release today, Cherished!!  There are wonderful new stamps, dies, stencils, and more...you need to check it out!!  I used one of the new sets of stamps, Envelope Greetings, and used it instead, for my card!...
I stamped the hearts onto vellum with versa mark and white embossed.  I colored the hearts from behind with my sharpie and mark it markers...and you will notice not to the ends of all of them...I'm calling it my "watercolor" technique for markers
Ahhhhh...hearts and rainbows...MY heart is happy!!  Such fun!!  Make sure you check out Cherished over at Simon!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Happy Father's Day in Rainbow

I'm back from my daughter's house and back in my craft room.  My mojo is not quite back yet, but making a card with a rainbow, my mojo is always there!!!
I used the I used my favorite Doodlebug papers, and adhered a BUNCH of strips...17 different colors to a thin piece of cardstock...and die cut the "DAD" from those strips...
I layered them and added a couple sentiments from the Mom and Dad Icons stamp set.  Here's a close up...
This was so much fun...SO HAPPY to be back!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

An Oval of Flowers Done Monotone

While I'm away visiting my daughter, I thought I'd post another card that I made with my Simon Says Stamp Oval of Flower cards...this one done with white cardstock and some linen cardstock that had backing...
I thought it looked cool with just a piece of linen behind the layered flowers.  The sentiment is a die from Reverse Confetti, also layered and die cut with the same linen cardstock as the top layer.  I made this just like the card I made HERE, a couple weeks ago!  Here's a close up...
Hope you are all having a great week!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
